Inertia can be defined as stagnation with regard to effort, motion or action. We created Resist Inertia, Inc. to inspire ourselves to reject a static, inactive lifestyle and instead to be empowered to change course and embrace a healthy lifestyle by improving eating habits and striving for optimum fitness.

About Us

Sir Isaac Newton defined Inertia as a basic property of objects  “[…] to preserve [their] present state, whether it be of rest, or of moving uniformly forward in a straight line.”  In our modern world, inertia is what drives us towards a sedentary lifestyle of poor eating habits and lack of exercise.

RESIST INERTIA, Inc. was started to highlight the obesity crisis and focus on behavioral changes that promote heart health and minimize risk factors. RESIST INERTIA, Inc. seeks to empower people to focus on a good diet, health and losing weight by providing, information and tools to become healthier and by organizing awareness events.

RESIST INERTIA, Inc is a 501c3 not for profit organization that was started to empower people to take proactive steps to make healthy living choices. The organization was started by cardiologist, Monica Aggarwal, who practices in Columbia and Baltimore, Md. Dr. Aggarwal formed the organization in 2008 and achieved nonprofit status in February, 2009. We started small and the interest has become overwhelming. Dr. Aggarwal has a great team of people working with her. We can use all the help we can get so if you are interested in joining our team, please contact us
